‘May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.’ 2 Thessalonians 2:16-17 https://www2.bible.com/bible/111/2TH.2.16-17

I love this passage of scripture! May Jesus Himself and God our Father encourage you and strengthen you. Wow! That is a promise directly from God through His Word. And that is how He speaks to us: by the power of His Holy Spirit through His spoken and written Word. The Holy Spirit illuminates the life-giving words in the Bible. So when we read, pray and meditate on (think upon, ‘chew on’) the scriptures, God speaks His truth and life into us. And He wants to use us to be a blessing and encouragement to others!

Here’s another good passage on encouragement:

‘May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus,’ Romans 15:5 https://www2.bible.com/bible/111/ROM.15.5

Again, who encourages us daily?? God does! Through the power of His Holy Spirit and the truth in His Word, the Bible. God speaks to us directly through His Word. Have you ever heard or read a scripture that you were very familiar with speak to your heart in a totally fresh and brand new way? How does that happen?!? Hebrews 4:12 says, ‘For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. ‘ https://www2.bible.com/bible/111/HEB.4.12. God will bring to life the very scripture that you need right at that moment to minister to you.

So be encouraged today! God is with you and God is for you to help you overcome every obstacle and give you victory in every area of your life!

Be blessed,
